During their time on the UK country circuit, Gunsmoke performed and recorded many cover songs as well as their own self-penned songs. For the first time ever, some of these covers are now available on this site and on www.mrbenidorm.com for streaming, downloading and radio play.

Gunsmoke are a trio from South Yorkshire in the UK who performed in Country & Western venues around the North East and Midlands for many years. The trio consists of John on lead vocals, Ray on bass guitar and Richard on lead guitar. Both Ray and Richard support John with backing vocals creating the close vocal harmonies which the trio have always been noted for. Earlier this year they decided to retire from the travelling and concentrate on recording their own self-penned songs to promote on the worldwide web. 

The trio had already produced three 12 track CD's of songs written by John and Richard (entitled: Country Roots, Nashville Callin' & Angels And Heroes) which they had been selling at their live venues. A selection of 15 of the original tracks from these three CD's have now been put together and released for downloads on Amazon, Itunes, Tesco, etc. (on 9th August 2010) under the MrBenidorm label and titled Nashville Callin'. Hopefully this will explain, to anyone checking us out on this site, why we have two albums called Nashville Callin'. It should also explain why we have called the MrBenidorm album Nashville Callin' 2010.

John and Richard have many more self-penned songs in various stages of development which hopefully will find their way on to this site sometime soon.
