MrBenidorm.com and MrBenidorm radio are all about music.. All music.

We seem to predominantly have a very wide range of Country but this does not mean we are a Country Music site.

Pop, Classical, Rock whatever the genre we will give all music an airing. Because music is about diverse sounds and cultures. Sometimes it may be very popular and a song can sell a million other times it can quite strange to some people.

We will however try to please our listeners and broadcast different types of genre at different times of the day.

MrBenidorm Radio streams all day and night we mix our own signed artists with well known singers. To give a balance, yet still allowing listeners to discover great new singers and musicians. You can download much of the music you hear on our radio station by selecting the artist on our main site.

Who runs MrBenidorm

MrBenidorm is run by Denny based in the UK with lots of help from his Belgium friends Magda and Albert No-one else.
As such, I don’t have to answer to advertisers, venture capitalists, or the vast array of other life-forms who plague the web these days, seemingly driven only to make a fast buck.

Why did you create this site?

Whilst I don’t specialise in web development, I have done numerous web sites.
It was clear there was demand for a good site that gives talent a chance to showcase themselves without getting ripped off, sell them crap, or screw money out of them in some other way.

Why is this site free ?

I am a believer that freely available sites and software will eventually become worth more than any commercial venture could ever be.
I don’t mean it will make more money. Clearly it wont. But that’s not my aim.
My aim is to create a site that is useful, popular and respected within the community.
If I can do that, then I’m happy.
This is why I’m constantly adding features

What do I get back for donating ?

There are various website enhancements you receive when donating to MrBenidorm
I try to design the enhancements so they are just that: enhancements, rather than essential features.
Unlike many other sites, you wont be pressured into paying just to send messages, search, or chat to other people

Ah I get it. You are just creating a free site till you build up your userbase, and then you're going to start charging, right?

No, that's not my intention at all. I have promoted MrBenidorm as a 100% FREE site, and so 100% FREE it will remain

There is a teeny ickle caveat however:
What costs money with website hosting is bandwidth and disk space. Since MrBenidorm contains hundreds of user images,MP3s and videos these all eat heavily away at the bandwidth and the disk space. We also pay licence fees in order to stream music over the Internet So if you like the site, and use it regularly, please consider making a small donation.

What's 'small'?
Well already I have had two very generous donations for £10 and £20. You know who you are and I’m very grateful.
But my recommended donation is something in the region of £5 per month.
But anyway, enough of this. My intention is not to beg, just to be quite clear about how the site works.

Hey! I’m pretty poor. I want to use MrBenidorm but I'll be damned if I’m donating!!

Relax! That's fine. You are still very welcome to use all of MrBenidorm's features.
Maybe you can think of a good idea to improve my site, or even a nice bit of feedback is worth a lot to me also.

But whoever you are, I hope you have a lot of fun on MrBenidorm, and meet lots of new friends!

MrBenidorm has no external funding, and is able to stay online solely through future user donations.
I’m hugely grateful for all contribututions, which help to keep MrBenidorm viable, and improve further.
